EoP Re: XR Roger Hallam Invite to Right to Climate Change Debate.
Roger Hallam: I’ve got an idea. Can I share my idea? Can I ask you a question?
Mallen Baker: Okay go on.
Roger Hallam: Okay I’m quite an innovative guy, which confuses people, who probably think I am some kind of nasty lefty or something. I have actually been innovative in businesses most of my life; and I have an actually open attitude, and I am interested in people that disagree with me, because I am interested in getting lots of information and data. One of the reasons I wanted to do this interview was I watched your interviews with Jordan Peterson and some other right wing guys in the States, and without getting into a debate about Jordan Peterson there is a lot he has been saying that has been quite interesting, philosophically, religiously, psychologically. What I am interested in in so much as you are on the fringe of that world as I see it. I mean I get that you are quite a centrist but you are part of that rational, intellectual semi-right wing world. I think it would be useful to draw some of those people in to have some debates about where we are going with the climate; cause as you right said, which is what I am saying as well, and it struck a chord to me. Its like okay, so you have all these opinions and then you seem to be completely contradicting yourself when it comes to the climate situation. If we are going to avoid civil wars as I would predict, we need like rational people on the right to actually start not using silly arguments. I accept that there are plenty people on the left that use silly arguments, but there are plenty of people on the right that use silly arguments as well.
Mallen Baker: Shall I tell you what is happening there from where I sit? Those people, the Jordan Petersons, the Ben Shapiro’s, they are very good in their own areas where they are most interested, and in other areas they get their opinions that most of us get our opinions, from their peer group. Climate change is one of the areas where they adopt the opinions of their peer group, which is skeptical. My point of doing those videos was to try to start challenging that group, to say come on you are being lazy in this climate area, adopt those principles to this area; because we need you to help in winning over in particular the American right, to stop arguing about whether this climate phenomena exists. They can debate with the liberals wether the Green New Deal is the right way to do it, they can argue about the details of implementation, but lets get them all lined up to yes this is something that we all have to do. So that was the motivation for doing that and I think there is some kind of ability to do it. Again, you come to how do you persuade people; those are intellectual, influential thinkers.
Roger Hallam: Well if one of those people is listening to this, this is an invite to these guys lets setup a little debate; because I am not totally born on the idea that debate produces the right outcomes every time, I think its a bit more nuanced than that, but I am certainly someone who is kind of original on the left that actually believes that open debate actually is a radical principle and does produce change as long as people are open to that debate. I don’t think there is a point in debating with rabid people that don’t even want to accept climate change is happening if you see what I mean; but I think with people that pride themselves on empirical analysis; then we are all in the same ballpark.
Mallen Baker: Well this is the model of discussion that can happen, whether its got an audience in front of it or not. I think the classic debate where you are trying to win over the other side probably isn’t the model.
Roger Hallam: What people on the left need to do, is to offer and challenge people on the right and openly debate this crisis. No-one is going to pretend that we are all going to agree. That is not the point. The point is it creates some understanding. Understanding is a very underestimated phenomena.
Mallen Baker: No, I actually agree. You are right, you called me a centrist, whenever I do these things about how should you vote in the coming election, I always end up right on the line. From my point of view the commentary I put on the youtube channel is about specific challenges to left and right. Challenges to the right to say sharpen up cause you could be putting forward some of the most valuable ideas here; and to the left actually because you are not getting real opposition in this area some of your ideas are flabby and self indulgent and you should be challenged as well. The joy of challenging is that even when you are wrong, you still benefit people by having to defend their own ideas. If you are sitting in your own echo-chamber and everyone agrees and nobody ever challenges your ideas you can be sure that you will gradually go further and further into something that is not realistic.
Roger Hallam. I mean we are not saying anything original here I mean lots of social commentators have made this point, where people are in ever greater silos and this is bad for the stability of society. So I think it is a moral obligation on people that want open debate to join together and engage in it. I think one of the reasons why extinction rebellion has been successful is the fact of the matter is extinction rebellion was started by a number of heretics on the left. As I am sure you are aware, I have been criticized allot by people on the right and the left. I am not saying I am perfect. The point is that we have innovated and innovation is always painful and often wrong, but that is what you need in societies in order for them to stay healthy. There is no question about it. The next step I think is: I put this invite out to people on the right, as long as we are not going to get into a slanging match. Lets have this debate. What is happening with the climate crisis? What is the science? What are the options and lets investigate this bind we are in; which is the longer that we delay, thinking its business as usual, the more likely we are going to have that which just about everyone doesn’t want. Nobody wants the goverment wandering around ordering everyone to ration the amount of sugar they use. Even if you think using sugar is not a good idea, just about everyone agrees, that is not the ideal state of affairs. Well that is what is coming down the road, as a real possibility. Okay we can argue about how probable it is, but nobody can debate that that is going to be coming down the road if this isn’t sorted out. So it is in everyone’s interest to find some common ground that the whole thing needs to get speeded along.
Mallen Baker: Okay well we will let that challenge hang in the air and see what happens.

Ecology of Peace left and right have different strategic goals to WiP left and right. Hopefully someday the WiP left and right will join the EoP left and right, before its too late, but if not, such is life…
The strategic difference between racial, religious, class or gender ideology isms cultural programming is between conscious or unconscious Ecology of Peace v Babylon / Masonic War is Peace [eop-v-wip-ism] cultures [eop-v-wip]. All Babylon Masonic War is Peace cultures are consciously or unconsciously – presumably as a result of lack of ego literacy [ego-eco-literacy] character – on the same strategic path, their differences are tactical, not strategic. All Ecology of Peace cultures are consciously or unconsciously on the same strategic path, their differences are tactical, not strategic. Summary of the difference between Ecology of Peace and Masonic War is Peace peacenik [eop-v-wip-peacenik], activism [eop-v-wip-activist].

I doubt you will get much interest from the WiP capitalist right – Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro et al – to your climate debate invitation; but you may find interest from the WiP racialist center / right. I have copied them and they can respond to you if they are interested, or you can contact them directly.
WiP Racial Center:
Sebastian Ronin: leader of the National Synergist Party of North America; Varg Vikernes: Anders Breivik’s designated peace negotiator.
