Paraphrased Transcript of 20 July 2021 Hearing:

MMH: [Presumably to EoP-LJ and MLI-CM]:
Please wait while I finish some notes on my previous case.

MMH: [To RA-NU]:
Please wait while I finish this case, then I can deal with your case.

MMH: [Presumably to EoP-LJ and MLI-CM]:
Herewith my ruling in the case of 542/21: Lara Johnson v Marlise Steenekamp, Dawn Meyer and Two Others. I shall not be reading out the judgement. I shall provide applicant and respondent with a written copy of my reasons and order.

MMH: [Hands out copies of her written judgement to EoP-LJ and MLI-CM]. Henderson M: Judgement on Costs [pp.26]

MMH: [to EoP-LJ]
Ms Johnson, kindly don’t send emails to the court. If you have something to say, file it with the Clerk of the Court. The Clerk will make sure I receive it.

EoP-LJ [to MMH]:
If you are referring to the emails I sent you yesterday. I received an email from Mr Marais providing me with a copy of 20 July 2021 court roll email {A}. I acknowledged receipt. After reading it I noticed that the court roll email said ‘unopposed court roll’. I then sent a precautionary email to respondents counsel [MLI-CM] CC yourself [MMH] with my precautionary ‘unrepresented EoP law voter applicant’ interpretation of how or why the matter had been placed on the ‘unopposed court roll’ {B}. Since my interpretation involved the probability that you [MHH] placed the case on the ‘unopposed court roll’, and since in my culture I do not say anything about anyone behind their back, that I am not willing to say to them; to their face; I provided you [MHH] with a transparency copy of my email to Mr Marais. If you were or are offended by my honest transparency legal culture, my apology.

MMH: [to EoP-LJ and MLI-CM]
That’s all.

EoP-LJ prepares to leave the court room.

MMH: [to EoP-LJ leaving the court room].
Ms Johnson your Magistrates Commission complaint has been forwarded to the appropriate person. You will hear from them in due course.
