Rian Malan, Wilhelm Verwoerd, David Lesoalo, Imam Cassiem:

EoP Re MRF-NN: Imagine SA Whites Declare themselves No Longer White.

Njabulo Ndebele: Imagine that during the COVID-19 lockdown South Africans woke up one morning to TV shows, radio broadcasts and pamphlets announcing a declaration by “white” South Africans: “WE ARE NO LONGER WHITE!”. In their statement they explain why. They have come to a realisation that South Africa was the only real home they ever had. …. South African “whites” having discarded their “whiteness”, perhaps for real, will be a part of a new sense of being human here, in everyone’s country. [The Conversation: South Africa needs a fresh national imagination: here are some ideas]

Wilhelm Verwoerd: When, in the 1990s, Wilhelm Verwoerd spoke out against his grandfather’s racist policies, his father called him a traitor. After many years of working in Northern Ireland, brokering peace between former enemies, he returns to his homeland to make his own peace. Back home, as he listens to his black neighbours’ and friends’ painful stories of the past, he struggles to reconcile the hated symbol of apartheid with the loving husband he encounters in Betsie Verwoerd’s intimate diaries. This moving memoir examines the complexities of having Verwoerd blood in your veins in the full knowledge that HF Verwoerd had blood on his hands. It is an unflinchingly honest look at loyalty, kinship and the demands of restitution in South Africa. [Amazon: Verwoerd: My Journey through Family Betrayals]

Returning to South Africa in the 1980s, Rian Malan wrote My Traitor’s Heart, his memoir of growing up in Apartheid-era South Africa in which he explores race relations through prominent murder cases. In addition, he reflects on the history of his family, a prominent Afrikaner clan that migrated to the Cape in the 17th century and included Daniel François Malan, the South African Prime Minister who was a principal ideological force behind Apartheid doctrine. [Wikipedia: Rian Malan] ….. My Traitor’s Heart is an autobiographical book by Rian Malan first published in 1990 on his return from exile. It is subtitled South African Exile Returns to Face His Country, His Tribe and His Conscience or Blood and Bad Dreams: A South African Exile Explores the Madness in His Country, His Tribe and Himself. The book describes Malan’s experience of growing up in Apartheid-era South Africa in which he explores race relations through prominent murder cases. In addition, he reflects on the history of his family, a prominent Afrikaner clan that migrated to the Cape in the 17th century and included Daniel François Malan, the South African Prime Minister who was a principal ideological force behind Apartheid doctrine. [WP: My Traitors Heart] ……. Gabriel Crouce: On 27 February 2018, my life changed, and so did yours. The National Assembly passed a motion to amend Section 25 of the Constitution of South Africa, the protection in the Bill of Rights against arbitrary expropriation in South Africa. Expropriation without compensation (EWC) became an official goal of our (divided) parliament. It was a sunny Tuesday morning in Joburg, and I was cleaning a friend’s swimming pool when the news came through. The sparkly pool belonged to Rian Malan, who had written an open letter to Julius Malema [Politicsweb: Dear Mr Malema] a few months earlier. Malan had heard Malema’s ‘slaughter whites’ line and publicly offered his Emmarentia house in exchange for his life, but only if Malema first explained who exactly the ‘rightful owners’ were. Malan was trying to mentor me into becoming less of a man-child at the time. Cleaning the swimming pool was part of the project, but the real challenge was to train me into journalism. ‘Assuming is the opposite of journalism,’ he said. ‘Research … do your research, then make up your mind, not the other way round. [Daily Friend: Why I turned against BLM Global Network].

EoP MILED Clerk: In 1999 I filed a Submission to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, promising to donate my inheritance to the TRC; in support of sincere – racial, religious, class and gender – land and/or economic inequality reform reconciliation in South Africa. The TRC responded in a brief form letter thanking me for my submission. If it is confirmed that there is no interest in sincere – Ecology of Peace – peacenik reconciliation between South Africans, I shall withdraw my submission to the TRC and use my inheritance funds for my Dignitas assisted suicide departure plans.

White / Grey / Black Information Operations:

Black Five: When you engage someone openly with “white” information operations, i.e. IO where your identity is clear and explicit, you imply that they are roughly your equal.  By speaking to or of them directly, you point up that they are important enough to demand your attention and your reply. [Black Five: A Lesson in Information Operations]

Black Five: Since this is an IO post, it’s worth noting that those methods are generally more effective than white IO for taking on groups that you don’t want to risk legitimizing. White IO v. hostile groups is best reserved for occasions when you are the weaker group, or when the stronger group is actively trying to raise the stature of a group. Why would they wish to do so? If you google “the Gravity Well” at Blackfive, you’ll find an essay I wrote that might explain why. Sometimes the most effective thing you can do is choose the one of your enemies that you prefer, and raise their stature so that they begin to draw in more of the people who are predisposed to the hostile cause. For example, you may find that one group that is overtly hostile to you nevertheless obeys certain rules of engagement that makes them a more honorable or preferable opponent. By raising their stature as an enemy, you may undercut the recruitment of other hostile groups — and thus get to fight the opponent you prefer to fight. [Black Five: A Lesson in Information Operations; COIN: The Gravity Well].

EoP Axis Honest Lives Matter Alliance Observations:

Mandela Rhodes Foundation: Njabulo Ndebele published a presumably conscious and/or unconscious black or grey information operations article in the presumably conscious and/or unconscious South African WiP media [eop-v-wip-media] publication The Conversation [The Conversation: South Africa needs a fresh national imagination: here are some ideas]

I don’t know whether Mandela Rhodes Foundation: Njabulo Ndebele article was a response to EoP TRC correspondence to Mandela Rhodes Foundation.

Presumably if Mandela Rhodes Foundation: Njabulo Ndebele wanted to engage in white information operations – EoP Axis Honest Lives Matter Alliance to Exit Babylon War is Peace international law – discussion; with EoP TRC law culture; he would have contacted EoP MILED Clerk directly to her inbox.
